Basically Arnold is admitting to TAFs that he is in T4... HOWEVER, he says his cameo will probably be seconds instead of minutes. But better than nothing, right!

Good reporting Gillinator! Of course I would have liked Arnold to have enthusiastically confirmed his involvement in T4 and plans to return to films, but for obvious political reasons, he needs to avoid appearing distracted from his current governator duties. I hope that his cameo in T4 isn't too brief, but I'll settle for a clear shot of his face and a good line or two with some additional action footage shown from a distance with no dialog.

GREAT reporting Gillinator! Arnie's answer for T4 was shocking. He would rather the producers not even use him...period. McG is "lucky" Arnie said yes to a cameo. Also, THE EXPENDABLES cameo sounds cool but I thought it would be a "gritty, scarred, brutalized" role like Harry Knowles said. Better than nothing right. I want Arnie to direct CRUSADE

Good capture of the q and a and also sweet website!!! I was the big guy that asked the first question (and broke the chair handle off accidently). Does anyone have a video copy of the Q&A they can post to your site or to youtube? These sessions are awesome and a great learning tool.

Hey Dugger, thanks for checking us out! Yes, we do have video of the whole hour with Arnold, we're digitizing and will link to it in a future post.
Mark- I knew you'd be bummed about what he said about the briefness of the Expendables cameo! It still could be something cool, no matter how brief, but what he describes is more like what he did in "The Rundown". Who knows, maybe he'll have so much fun once on set, Sly will talk him into doing more.

Ryan, I'm hoping Arnie is only saying the words "brief cameo" in both T4 and The Expendables because he's still in office. It doesn't make sense for the oak to finally team up with Sly and just to walk past him in a building. I would rather a 2 minute cameo with Arnie holding a huge gun smoking a cigar. That would feel iconic.
Great question though Ryan. Arnie is so use to answering with a political answer that he didn't even say which film(s) he'd love to franchise. You should have just told Arnie to make TRUE LIES 2 or else

I agree mark, Arnold says "a second" but I'm sure it's really like 20 seconds at least - same with Expendables. Of course both these movies will still be great - but like Ryan said, it's just an extra cherry on top to have some Arnold seconds.

Arnold makes it seem like he would give away his TERMINATOR franchise like he would give away his first born. TERMINATOR is his...saying he gave McG the go to even make a TERMINATOR completly without him is NOT what I want to here. I hope Arnold is just talking BS.
And speaking of BS...I will be MAD as hell if his role in EXPENDABLES is just a walk by like he is saying. Sly already did that with Travolta back in the 80's with STAYLING ALIVE. I DO NOT WANT THAT TO BE THE FIRST FILM THEY MAKE TOGETHER TO BE LIKE. A small Tom Cruise --a la TROPIC THUNDER-- type role would do the trick.

On the Expendables, it could be a little tease on the movie to come. Like Arnold might say something like "I'm sure we'll meet again soon...maybe on a bigger adventure." SO it could be a little nod to the huge next picture. Because even if Arnold had a long 3 minute cameo - that's STILL not good enough for their first picture. They need equal time throughout a whole movie for their first REAL film.

I hope you're right Randy. I will expect 20 seconds or so but I'll be hoping it gets extended to 3-5 minutes with Stallone and the oak sharing screen time.
I also hope you're right with a wink to the real team up project. As I see it, Arnie will do films with Stallone and Cameron when he comes back. I hope that means KING CONAN doesn't get nixed.
Arnie might want to do a new Stallone film, TRUE LIES 2 & BATTLE ANGEL with pal Cameron and maybe start directing, like CRUSADE.

I hope so Randy...I don't see how 2 or 3 days of making something memorable is so out of the question for Arnold. At this point I know that Arnold knows he is coming back to film or not...he should remember film is forever and that he will be out of office very soon.

to be honest, I dont buy any of it.....McG said that arnold recorded dialogue, and may record more and made a big deal about the ILM footage of arnold.....why would mcg make such a big deal if arnold is only in it for a few seconds?
and why would aicn etc. make a big deal about arnies cameo(and say he was either going to play himself or scarred/brutalised) in expendables but instead hes just bumping into sly?? doesnt sound like himself or something scarred/brutalised...
remember, Arnolds Kid and I cameo was kept secret when he filmed it...
I would bet $$ that arnies "cameos" end up being longer than he said...and this is just damage control because California is in dire state and it wouldnt look good

Good news.
As always, Arnold calming everyone down and saying his involvement shouldnt be promoted the way it isnt, which means ARNOLD IN T4 WOA OMG!!!! It ll probably be a short shot of his face and the rest of the scene showing the body from the back of how he shoots things down.
Anyway...Ill be there...premiere of T4 in germany.

I was excited to see TAFs' Arnold Classic coverage being cited and quoted in the first line of the top news link at Arnold's imdb page, but it seems to use TAFs' reportage to imply that Arnold said no to McG and that the best we could hope to see in T4 is stock footage of Arnold.
